Switzerland and Spain once again are neck and neck as they round the remaining portion of the Negresco hairpin. Their wheels are nearly touching. Sorolla grits his teeth and presses the gas pedal as they start to make their run down the straight. He is quickly matched by Petrus de Salvion. Looking across the field of the remaining cars, many show a lot of wear from the race so far, with France and Spain well situated to finish strongly -- if only the gap against Norway could somehow be overcome. Clearly, the last few curves will be a hard fought experience and lot of tire rubber will be left on the track when it is all finished. A podium for Norway seems likely, but the risks of the last half of this lap could prove to be very dangerous indeed.
