Race :: Round 06 - Deep into Storkurvan

Click Here for Car Stats & Leader Board

Vitez Rychly continues his commanding lead as several other cars storm into Storkurvan. Yet most carry too much speed as they fight for the elusive goal of holding position. The orange Bugatti continues to press ahead alone. Farther back, England, Portugal Italy and Monaco work into the curve, most cars holding to the racing line. John Milk and Godeschalk Hegkman hold the outside line to keep a reasonable separation from the pack, while behind, a picture of graceful driving technique, the Danish racer demonstrates his expertise on the ice, smoothly shifting up as he enters Storkurvan with precision.

All of the other racers are now finished with the Höksböjen curve, except Sweden's famed shark. The Finnish driver skids clear, nearly sideswiping the Swiss racer's Bugatti, the commanding thunder of the big 8 cylinder Chrysler motor an intimidating factor in the race.

As the drivers head toward Lekböjen, it is clear that planning and gear selection will reward the best, while those who didn't properly plan Storkurvan will now fall behind as they struggle to catch up in lower gear. Many of the drivers who tested the track noted that it was here that the winners would likely be separated from the losers – and so the Lekböjen curve will play and soon split the pack into a long line....
