Race :: Round 17 - The Race for the Lead Tightens!
Click Here for Car Stats & Leader Board
Monaco drafts off of Czechoslovakia to retake the lead as Britain puts the hammer down and closes the gap into a tight third place position, his engine issuing a white smoke as he presses to the limits of his RPM. Behind, Germany comes to a stop after a full spin out, kicks the car around and accelerates back into the race -- its as if he's in a restart and it may not even be possible to catch Norway by the time the checkered flag waves. Orsi streaks by Germany, looking over his shoulder to watch the German but then glances farther back to see the rest of the pack's progress through La Trappe. Back at the curve, first Switzerland, then Spain, then Finland and finally Sweden cut to the outside lane and run over the body of the goat in their attempt to negotiate the La Trappe curve. Any hope that Orsi may have had in cooking the goat for a post-race celebration is certainly gone. Belgium and Norway bring up the rear, still not yet making the La Trappe curve.
